Power has been restored to the UConn campus.
Update 11:45 a.m.:
An issue with an overhead wire on North Eagleville Road is to blame for Thursday's power outage at UConn's Storrs campus, CL&P spokesperson Katie Blint told Mansfield-Storrs Patch Thursday morning.
Blint said CL&P was contacted about the outage at 10:15 a.m.
The outage is currently affecting approximately three quarters of the campus, Blint said.
Power crews are still on the scene and their goal is to restore power to the affected areas within the "next several hours," Blint said.
Businesses located in College Square, Storrs Commons and University Plaza do not appear to be affected by the outage at this time.
