Girl Scouts throughout the state, nation, and world will be gathering at Camp Laurel in Lebanon from August 5-11 for the Girl Scouts International Camporee.
All girls are welcome to come and share in this international experience! Girls can still register for this exciting event until July 11.
This once-in-a-lifetime event is a part of the continuing celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting. Girl Scouts and Girl Guides will come together during the week to share ideas, cultures, and friendships, while enjoying traditional camp activities.
The International Camporee is specifically focusing on “changing the world – one meal at a time.” Girls will learn about nutrition, food sources, and world food supplies. A Girl Forum will meet daily and work to contribute to the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts’ (WAGGGS) position on nutrition: that everyone has the right to food.
