MAKE YOUR MARK ON MANSFIELD’S FUTURE! PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION INVITES RESIDENTS TO SERVE ON MANSFIELD TOMORROW ADVISORY GROUP

The Mansfield Planning and Zoning Commission is looking for residents who are interested in helping to shape the future of Mansfield to serve on the Mansfield Tomorrow Advisory Group.

Mansfield Tomorrow is an initiative designed to provide the vision, strategies and tools to help ourtown become the 21st century community we want to be.

Community participation will be at the foundation of Mansfield Tomorrow, which will result in a comprehensive plan that will address issues such as how to preserve our essential characteristics and our values, where new development should occur, what that development should look like, how to promote local businesses and support farms, and how we might make living in Mansfield more affordable for working families.

New zoning and subdivision regulations will be developed to implement our vision.

The Mansfield Tomorrow Advisory Group will be made up of residents, business ownersand others with a stake in the future of our town who are representative of
different geographic areas and interests.

Members of the Advisory Group will play a critical role in ensuring that the planning process and the plan are grounded in the values and the aspirations of the people of Mansfield.

The Advisory Group needs diverse representation from people of all backgrounds and experiences. Interested residents can apply by filling out the applicationposted at www.mansfieldct.gov

Applications must be received by January 30, 2013.
