Rachel Stewart of Mansfield Center was one of 15 students recently selected to the 2013 Leadership Legacy Experience at the University of Connecticut. The Connecticut Leadership Legacy Experience has been established to recognize and invite the University's most exceptional student leaders to participate in a year-long leadership enhancement experience that is immersive, comprehensive, substantive, and builds on their legacy as University leaders and helps prepare them for a life of commitment and contribution beyond graduation.
Rachel is an honors student majoring in Psychology with the hopes of earning a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Rachel served as a Student Instructional Specialist for the Honors INTD 1784 Program. Rachel is also a Master Coach in the student mentoring program UConn Connects where she works with students on academic probation and their peer facilitators to ensure the success of their education here at UConn. Additionally, Rachel helped found the student organization Revolution Against Rape (RAR) which educates students on issues involving sexual assault.
