Christmas in Nineteenth Century London comes to life in Storrs when the play, Scrooge, the Musical, is performed at Storrs Congregational Church on Dec. 7, 8, 9, 14 and 15.
The familiar Charles Dickens tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his encounter with three ghosts on Christmas Eve is set to song and music with a cast of more than 30 from area communities.
Tickets are on sale through the church located at 2 North Eagleville Road in Storrs for the productions on Friday, Dec. 7, Saturday, Dec.8, Friday, Dec. 14, and Saturday, Dec. 15, all starting at 7 p.m. There is also a 4 p.m. performance on Sunday, Dec. 9. The church office can be reached weekdays at 860 429-9382. Proceeds go to Storrs Congregational Church and the No Freeze Hospitality Center of Willimantic.
