The Mansfield Democratic Town Committee is seeking qualified individuals to fill two vacancies on an important elected boards.
As a result of two recent resignations, there is a vacancy for an alternate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and also for a Mansfield representative to the Region 19 (EO Smith) Board of Education.
According to the town charter, vacancies must be filled by a member of the same political party that vacated the seat, in this case, a Democrat.
The Mansfield Democratic Town Committee will recommend someone to be appointed to fill this vacancy until the next election, in the fall of 2013.
All registered Democrats in Mansfield who have an interest in serving their community and feel they would bring a valuable perspective to either the Region 19 Board of Ed or the Zoning Board of Appeals should contact the DTC.
