Wireless Zone's Successful 4th Annual Toy Drive to Benefit the Connecticut Children's Medical Center!

Summer is here and its time for the beach, for barbecues, and having fun in the sun! Despite complaining about the humidity, the heat, and our electric bills, we here at the Wireless Zone know that we are extremely fortunate that we get to enjoy the many perks of this wonderful season! We also know that there are some who won’t get to partake and take pleasure in all the amazing things about summer. Which is why your local Southeastern Connecticut

Wireless Zone’s assisted our incredible Wireless Zone Foundation in their efforts to collect toys for the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center! For every toy you donated, WE MATCHED IT!

Owners Neil Ryan and Scott Gladstone could not have been
happier to participate! Their employees were even more thrilled at the opportunity to collect toys and raise money for these children! The eleven Wireless Zone’s in the Southeastern Connecticut area amassed over 200 toys, as
well as raising additional donations to assist the cause. Education Works, located in the Crystal Mall, generously discounted all of the toys we purchased as well, allowing Wireless Zone to collect even more than originally possible!

With the support of the entire Wireless Zone family, we were able to collect over a thousand toys last year, and raised over $3,000 in donations! It is our hope that the 4th Annual Toy Drive to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center will be even more of a resounding
success!

The medical center is dedicated to improving the physical and emotional health of children in our community. Through research, education, advocacy, and family focused services, the hospital truly embraces their slogan, “Kids are great! We just make ‘em better!”

When a child is admitted to the hospital, the first thing
they receive is a warm, welcoming smile. The second thing, is a brand new toy. Some of these toys will be their source of comfort, will make them laugh throughout their stay, and some may last a lifetime. We want to say thank you for those who donated, and we look forward to collecting even more next year!
