As Solarize Mansfield-Windham draws to a close, volunteers are planning a solar installation event to offer residents the opportunity to see a live solar PV installation, get questions answered and meet the official town installer – C-TEC Solar, all before the July 31st deadline. An Open House/Installation/Cookout is planned for Monday, July 22, from 3:00-7:00 at 137 Oxbow Drive in Willimantic.
Due to the strong response to Solarize Mansfield-Windham the program has now reached Tier 5 pricing, the lowest possible price available to residents. Homeowners who sign contracts through the town-sponsored Solarize program can expect to save thousands of dollars off their solar installation, and cut annual electric bills by approximately $1,000, depending on the size of their systems.
One of the unique aspects of the Solarize Mansfield-Windham program is that the towns, in conjunction with the State, have pre-selected one installer to do all installations for the program. Through a competitive review process, C-TEC Solar was selected by Mansfield-Windham, based on their quality, reputation, and discounts offered. Only C-TEC solar installations count towards to tiered pricing discounts. To participate in the program, residents must sign up by July 31st.
