Age is Nothing But a Number

Ten-year-old Kerra may be in double digit dog years, but she doesn't let it slow her down.

A canine senior citizen is waiting for a new home at the Tolland Animal Control Shelter. Kerra, a 10-year-old yellow lab, may be 70 in dog years, but Animal Control Officer Tina Binheimer, says she has the energy of a puppy.

“She needs an energetic home,” Binheimer said, explaining that Kerra is very active and loving. She is spayed and has no health problems. While Kerra is friendly, Binheimer said that she would be happier in a home with older, as opposed to younger, children.

Kerra is up to date on her rabies vaccine, according to Binheimer. Call 860-871-3676 for more information.
