Finding a Place for Tennessee in Connecticut

The standard poodle and Irish setter mix is at the Mansfield Animal Control shelter for the second time in his life.

Tennessee, a 7-year-old standard poodle and Irish setter mix, needs a good home. He was returned to the Mansfield Animal Control shelter after his owner moved away and could not take Tennessee along, according to Assistant Animal Control Officer Christine Chojnicki. He was previously adopted from the shelter when he was a puppy.

Chojnicki says that Tennessee is a very calm dog who loves just hanging out with people.

"He's very sweet," she said, adding that while Tennessee loves company, he would be happier in a family with older children. Chojnicki said that Tennessee is also sociable with other dogs and can live with cats.

Tennessee is up to date on all of his shots and is fixed. He is also on heart worm preventative. He can be adopted for a $65 fee. Contact the Mansfield Animal Control Shelter at 860-487-0137 for more information.
