Anoushka Shankar, daughter and disciple of maestro Ravi Shankar, breaks new ground as she brings together the passionate and diverse music of Spain with the vibrant, ancient forms of the Indian classical tradition. Combining sitar with tabla, bansuri flute, percussion, Spanish guitar and voice, this musical pioneer employs her stunning virtuosity to create a powerful and mesmerizing collection of new pieces that show yet again an artist at the very top of her game. Anoushka's first Deutsche Grammophon recording titled Traveler will be released fall 2011.
