CSA Guest Artist Recital: Cristina Capparelli Gerling and Tania Lisboa

The Community School of the Arts is proud to host Cristina Capparelli and Tania Lisboa as visiting guest artists to the University of Connecticut.  
A leading figure in the musical circles of her native Brazil, pianist and scholar Cristina Capparelli Gerling appears frequently as soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, guest teacher, and lecturer in the United States, Canada, England, France, and Portugal.
Tânia Lisboa is acknowledged as one of Brazil's foremost musical talents. Having received her early musical training in Tatuí and São Paulo she gained initial recognition as a concert pianist before focusing on her international career as a solo cellist.
This recital is presented as part of the 2012 Interdisciplinary Seminar Series, in cooperation with UConn’s Departments of Psychology, Music, and the Community School of the Arts.
The program will feature music of Bach and Chopin.
