Volunteer at the Festival on the Green

Be a Part of the Fun - Volunteer at the Festival on the Green!

The Mansfield Downtown Partnership invites area residents to volunteer at the Eighth Annual Festival on the Green.  The Festival will be Sunday, September 25 from noon to 5:00 pm in front of E. O. Smith High School (if it rains, the event will be held the school).

At this year's Festival on the Green, area residents will enjoy performances by the UConn Marching Band, Kidsville Kuckoo Revue, and Slavic Soul Party!.  With a wide variety of games, activities, art, and food, there is something for everyone at this community event!

The Festival on the Green would not be possible without the assistance of area residents who generously give of their time and talents each September.  The Partnership has many needs for volunteers throughout the day, from set-up (beginning at 9:00 am) through clean-up (ending around 6:30 pm).  Volunteers are especially needed to assist with traffic control as the Parade makes its way down Storrs Road.  There are opportunities for all ages and abilities to support their community by volunteering at the Festival on the Green.

Volunteers can commit to an hour or two or for the whole day.  The Partnership also welcomes groups to volunteer together.  Area residents who are interested in volunteering at the Festival on the Green or who would like additional information may contact the Mansfield Downtown Partnership office at 860.429.2740 or mdp@mansfieldct.org.  Additional information is available at www.mansfieldct.org/mdp.
