Women's Club of Storrs will host Scott Haney

The Women’s Club of Storrs will hold a meeting on Monday, May 7 with light refreshments at 5:30pm. Our guest, Scott Haney, will speak at 6pm. with a pot-luck dinner for the membership to follow.

Scott is the weather forecaster for WFSB, Channel 3 who entertains Connecticut viewers daily as he predicts the weather. Non-club members wishing more information may call (860)429-5482.

ADHD is a real disorder but is way over-diagnosed. When a boy isn't engaged (bored, not challenged),…Read More he's slapped with a label. Sometimes drugs are appropriate, other times it could mean that he needs to move up a grade level or be stimulated in another way. But other times its just covering problems up. I'd like to know what other countries do that diagnose ADHD.

It’s the most perfect constant in the universe. Anyway, no, 17 years is not that long in the grand scheme of things, but this is not the 1950’s. And I don’t see why in this case it’s Bill Clinton’s values. He signed the law, but I fail to see how that effects the current discussion. It would seem to be the values of the country as whole that are changing.
