This most recent expansion of Aquarion’s service territory reflects the company’s goal of improving the availability and quality of water in communities throughout the state, according to a statement released by Aquarion.
“We are pleased to welcome Suffield and Mansfield customers and we look forward to providing them with safe, quality, reliable water service for years to come,” said Charles V. Firlotte, Aquarion president and CEO.
The West Suffield system, formerly owned by West Service Corporation, serves 652 customers in the Mountain Road area of West Suffield. The Mansfield system, formerly owned by REJA Acquisition Corp., serves 152 customers at the Valley View Mobile Home Park off Route 32 in Mansfield.
“Customers in Suffield and Mansfield can expect high quality water and efficient service from Aquarion,” John Wittenzellner, president of West Service Corporation and REJA Acquisition Corp., said in the statement. “The company has an outstanding reputation and an excellent track record for customer service.”
With the integration of these two water systems into its portfolio, the Bridgeport-based Aquarion now serves 49 cities and towns and more than 625,000 people throughout the state, as well as New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
