Readers' Choice: Nominate Your Favorite Place to Buy Shoes

Where do you love to shop for footwear in Manchester, Vernon, Tolland or Mansfield?

There are two kinds of people in the world: Those who think of shoes as practical items to protect their feet, and those who view them as the most important fashion choice of each day. This week's Readers' Choice contest addresses the latter.

If you love shoes, you know all the best places to look for them. You know who has the best sales and the best selection, and which places carry the brands that fit you perfectly.

So where do you go locally to shop for shoes in Manchester, Vernon, Tolland and Mansfield?

Tell us in the comments about why you buy your shoes where you buy them — and you can have more than one favorite. The nominations will close on Thursday at 5 p.m., and we'll announce our Readers' Choices based on comments and Patch Places reviews by Saturday morning.

I typically look for shoes at Macy's. They carry so many it makes a great place for a one stop shop!

I love shoes as a fashion choice...Macy's is great place to buy them and DSW and online I love Zappos.com - with Zappos you get free shipping even for returns and you have 365 days to return.

Any place that sells 12 Wide - Hard to find what I need and usually have to shop at more than one place to get shoes/sneakers. What is available tends to get picked over. In men's sizes unless you are size 8-10 its difficult to find them consistently. Add to that the choices available to men seem to me VERY limited at most shoe stores. Combining that with size availability restrictions and comfort it can be a real chore to get something that fits the bill.
