Storrs Center: Construction Continues; Street, Building Naming Process to Begin

Exterior work on 1 Dog Ln., 9 Dog Ln. and the parking garage continues.

"While every effort is being made to manage traffic flow, there may be delays as the construction vehicles navigate the site," Town Manager Matthew Hart said in his latest Manager's Report. 

"Please remember to drive slowly through the construction area and maintain a safe distance between yourself and oversized vehicles," he said.

The Mansfield Downtown Partnership's Planning and Design Committee recently made the following suggestions for the site's streets and structures, according to documents supplied at Mansfield's latest Town Council meeting:

  • Village Street - "Village Street"
  • Parking Garage access road and Town Square loop - "Cazel Circle"
  • South Eagleville Road Extension - "South Eagleville Road Extension"
  • lntermodal Transportation Center - "Zimmer-Nash Transportation Center"
  • Bolton Road extension - "Bolton Road Extension"

At the March 26 council meeting, council members authorized Mayor Elizabeth Paterson to appoint an ad hoc committee to aid in the naming process.
