After months of anticipation, The Oaks on The Square is opening Wednesday to tenants in Storrs Center.
The studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments are advertised as having spacious floor plans, a fully-equipped kitchen, granite counter tops, modern fixtures and laminate hardwood flooring.
Tenants will gradually begin moving in to the Dog Lane apartments today, according to a post on The Oaks on The Square Facebook page.
A call for comment to Storrs Center co-developer Education Realty Trust, Inc. (EDR) was not immediately returned Tuesday afternoon.
Per person monthly apartment rates range from $999-$2,654, according to the leasing office’s Web site.
Additional residential and commercial spaces are slated for construction.
After years of planning and collaboration, the Mansfield Downtown Partnership and several state officials, including Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Congressman Joe Courtney, .
When completed, the $220 million project will give Mansfield new retail, restaurant, office and residential development.
