Mansfield is preparing for the holiday shopping season with the relaunch of its "Local First Mansfield" campaign.
The town and the Mansfield Downtown Partnership are partnering up for the second year in an effort to build awareness of the importance of shopping locally.
"The goal is to help promote Mansfield businesses during the busy shopping season," said Kathleen Paterson, communications and special projects manager for the Partnership.
Here are just a few of the events Mansfield residents can look forward to:
- Scavenger Hunt

- One Stop Shop
Sunday, Dec. 9; 12-4 p.m.
Local businesses will set up shop at the Mansfield Community Center for customers' convenience.
- "Give & Receive" Gift Wrapping
Sunday, Dec. 16; 12-4 p.m.
Have your gift wrapped at the Community Center in exchange for a donation to benefit a Mansfield family in need.
