What do you think made Edvard Munch’s “The Scream” worth $120 million to an anonymous buyer last May at a Sotheby's auction? If you’re curious, The William Benton Museum of Art’s October 5th Art Forum is for you.
“The Business of Art: Price vs. Value” is the topic for discussion at this Friday Art Forum. The event is free for Benton Museum members and $10 for non-members.
Alexis Boylan, Assistant Professor of Art History and Women’s Studies at the University of Connecticut, will moderate the discussion, with panelists Robinson Grover, art collector, and Charles Young, art dealer.
The discussion runs from 5:30 to 7, with refreshments from 5 to 5:30.
RSVP to 860-486-5084.
The William Benton Museum of Art is located on the University of Connecticut campus at 245 Glenbrook Road, Storrs, CT.
