This country, the result of severe distaste for nobility, created and instituted a Constitution and Bill of Rights. They were designed specifically to protect us from the next king, whomever or whenever they may arise. Recently, nobility has been resurrected in the United States. It seems laws or bills like ObamaCare exempt certain individuals. It seems Diane Feinstein's proposed gun control laws exempt certain individuals. It seems that insider trading laws exempt certain individuals. It seems like people take vacations and fly around the world costing MILLIONS all on the taxpayers tab. The certain individuals I am talking about is the President, Congress and government officials in general.
When there starts to be 2 classes of laws, one for the citizens and one for the government, then you must also realize that there are now 2 classes of people; the elite and the proletariat.
When laws only apply to one class, the proletariat, then on the other side of the coin what has been created is a de facto elite class and this has been the end result of many laws since passed under the current administrations reign.
The Constitution forbids the creation of nobility, or the creation of an elite class in what has been called the Title of Nobility Clause, specifically provision in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution. It is this clause that forbids the United States government from granting titles of nobility and restricts members of the government from receiving gifts from foreign states without the consent of the United States Congress.
Now we have Congress blatantly involved in insider trading, people like Timothy Geithner guilty of tipping off BOA when at the NY Fed, HSBC laundering money for drug cartels with no real punishment, government handing out billions in taxpayer money in TARP and bailouts to it's connected friends, and Congress exempting themselves from ObamaCare and gun control laws. What this is is an exempted class. It is an elite class. Make no mistake about it, It is the new nobility. The new age of surfs and lords is upon us.
Isn't this exactly what was fought against during the American Revolution? Isn't this the very thing our government was created to protect us against. Isn't it a sad commentary that no one is out raged? Does it signal the end of an era of freedom?
It's time to stand up. It's time to become outraged. Get angry. Get mad. Do it now before it's too late.
