First off, don't get mad at me because you know it's true. Why is it after years and years of young black males being the victims of gun violence, now many of you want to discuss gun control? Why?
Where was the outrage when Latonya Bowman, 22, was abducted, set on fire, and then shot in an ambush set by her ex-boyfriend?
Where were the tears when Sharmeka Moffitt, 20, of Winnsboro, Louisiana was attacked and set on fire by three men wearing “white hoodies,”
Why do you think that after the civil war many states enacted "Black Codes" which were laws that barred the newly liberated freedmen from exercising the basic human right to defend their property and their newly one liberty by barring them the right to bear arms?
Why did a Mississippi "Black Code" law read no freedman "shall keep or carry fire-arms of any kind, or any ammunition?"
And, despite these inumane statutes, blacks often formed militias to resist white terrorism, RIGHTFULLY SO.
Throughout the history of this country gun control was used as an effective method to keep the minority down. Did you know that even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. applied for a permit to carry a concealed firearm after his house was bombed in 1956 and his application was DENIED? Ask yourself why?
Where's the outrage when President Obama kills yet another innocent Pakistani child (168 children at present and 775 civilians) in his drone attacks on "terror?" And this guy was RE-ELECTED!
What happened in Newtown is horrible, but statistically it is an anomoly. More people are killed per year by;
Sunstroke (29 residents die every year from sunstroke in Arizona ALONE! http://www.azdhs.gov/diro/pio/preventionbulletin/july04.pdf).
Deer-automobile collisions (200 deaths per year, www.insurancejournal.com/news/national/2012/10/24/267786.htm).
Drowning in pools (140 drowingings this summer alone; http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml12/12275.html).
Choking kills hundreds of children per year (http://www.medicine.ox.ac.uk/bandolier/booth/risk/choking.html).
This list is endless.
Now let's get down to the nitty gritty, the ugly truth. What was so different about Newtown?
Is this really about vilolence and guns or is it really about something else?
Why would anyone with a brain want to disarm a free people unless you don't want to be free? Is it that you can't imagine things the way others, who don't take their freedom for granted might? Maybe you should try, before it's to late?
