Freezing Rain Could Slicken Monday Morning Commute

Officials recommend clearing roofs, drainage areas and exhaust vents before more winter weather hits the Mansfield area.

On the heels of a blizzard that dumped more than two feet on the area, the National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a period of freezing rain beginning early Monday morning.

"Rain or freezing rain, becoming all rain after 3 p.m.," the NWS forecasts for the Mansfield area on Monday. "High near 44. ... Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible."

Though the ice and snowfall from this front will not be substantial, current road conditions and areas of fog could cause hazardous conditions for Monday morning.
