Mansfield and UConn Cancellations for Wednesday, Nov. 7

Lots of programs have canceled for tonight because of the inclement weather. Check the list below, but make sure you call ahead just to be sure.

With several winter weather advisories in effect for the night, several organizations at UConn and within the town are cancelling event for the night. Take a look at the list below and if you know of any others, please add them in the comment section:

University of Connecticut:

Storrs Campus classes scheduled for after 5 p.m. have been canceled. The regular scheduled will resume Thursday, at least that's what the university is saying Wednesday evening.

UConn Q Center closed at 5 p.m., will reopen as normal on Thursday.

Philanthropy Day Activities have been canceled at Northwest and South Dining Halls, check the Husky Drive Facebook page for a rescheduled date.

UConn Transportation Services: "UConn buses and AVS vans are shutting down at 7:30pm this evening due to inclement weather and worsening roads. We will reduce service to one bus per line at 6:30pm. Please stay safe and warm!"

UCoon Co-op Bookstore closed at 6 p.m.

UConn Student Union will remain open as normal.

UConn's Babbidge Library will remain open during normal hours on Wednesday.

Town of Mansfield:

From the Mansfield Community Center: "After School Friends is running as scheduled at the Mansfield Community Center, Southeast, Vinton and Goodwin. ALL other programs are cancelled for tonight including those that happen in locations other than the Community Center."

Mansfield Community Playground fundraiser at Papa Gino's will be rescheduled.
