  • Halloween is just around the corner, so Mansfield-Storrs Patch shared some great haunted attractions around the state.
  • Five Mansfield area residents took part in the half marathon around Rocky Neck State Park on Sunday.
  • Mansfield was awarded a by the Department of Economic and Community Development.
  • Mansfield officials have plans to submit a Connecticut Main Street Investment Fund application to the Connecticut Office of Policy and Management (OPM) and the Connecticut Main Street Center for the Storrs Center project in the amount of $500,000.
  • Mansfield's 9th Annual Festival on the Green was declared a success Monday by Mansfield officials who said high attendance, local entertainment and the new presence of Storrs Center made for a great day.
  • Mansfield Mayor Elizabeth Paterson issued a proclamation earlier this week in recognition of Oct. 20-26 as National Friends of Libraries Week.

  • A Willimantic man who police said was seen walking out of a Mansfield home with a television was arrested Thursday in Willimantic.
  • In a driving rainstorm, Taylor Bilyak scored two goals and E.O. Smith Regional High School took advantage of a Fermi red card penalty to defeat the Falcons 3-1 in CCC East girls soccer action Friday in Enfield.
  • Froyoworld held its grand opening Saturday at its new location at 1 Dog Ln. in Storrs Center.
  • The Mansfield Resident State Trooper's Office joined with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Saturday to give area residents the opportunity to dispose of old and unused prescription drugs.
