Patch Poll: What is Proper Holiday-Light Etiquette?

Is it OK to leave lights up until Easter?

The wrapping paper's been trashed, the New Year has been rung in, trees have begun to appear by the curb, but holiday lights and decorations, lit up or not, remain strung on many home facades across town.

For some, taking down the lights is a must as soon as New Years Day passes, but there are always the few houses that will have their decorations up through Easter Sunday, and then some who just leave them up until the following holiday season when they will flip the switch and turn them on again.

Is there proper holiday-light etiquette that should be followed? How about a deadline for when decorations should come down?
