Charity Bookshop Holiday Sale

The Charity Bookshop Holiday Sale runs through January 4. All books marked with either yellow or white dot labels will be on sale at half-price. Next week we will pull these books from our shelves to make room for hundreds of new books. All DVD's, CD's, audio books and tapes will also be on sale.

UPDATE - We received hundreds of NEW books the week before Christmas. This includes fiction and non-fiction in both hardcover and paperback.

The Charity Bookshop sells new and gently used books, audio-books, CD’s and DVD’s at unbeatable prices, ranging from $0.25 to $2.00. A handful of exceptional books are marked at $5.00. We offer a wide range of beautiful books that are suitable for holiday gift giving. Books and music arrive all the time and are sold just as quickly, so we recommend that customers visit us often.

Located at 591 Poquonnock Road, Groton, the Charity Bookshop is open three days a week on Wednesday and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and on Thursday from 2 PM until 5 PM. The bookshop is open throughout the year except on holidays. We will be closed on Dec. 25, 26 and 28th. Please visit http://stonington.patch.com/blog_posts/books-at-unbeatable-prices to learn more about us and to see photos of our shop.

The Charity Bookshop is a non-profit bookstore that benefits the Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT (CFA). The shop is manned by volunteers, who are members of the Groton Auxiliary of the Child and Family Agency. All proceeds benefit the Child and Family Agency which provides programs and services to approximately 17,000 southeastern CT children and their families. For more information about CFA, please visit http://www.childandfamilyagency.org/.

Our volunteers welcome donations of clean, gently used books, CD's and DVD's. However, we cannot accept encyclopedias and textbooks due to limited shelf space.
