Students from the University of Connecticut’s Community School of the Arts Suzuki program will perform in costume at the second annual Halloween "Play-in" at the Mansfield Public Library on Saturday, October 27th at 4:30 p.m. CSA offers classes in Suzuki violin, guitar and cello.

The Suzuki approach encompasses more than just teaching a child how to play an instrument. The goal is to develop the whole child, to help unfold his or her natural potential to learn and to provide an opportunity to experience the joy of music making. Through the Suzuki growing process, children thrive in a total environment of support; they develop confidence and self-esteem, determination to try difficult things, self-discipline and concentration, as well an appreciation and enjoyment of music that will last a lifetime. CSA offers private and group Suzuki instruction beginning at age 4.

The Community School of the Arts at the University of Connecticut offers non-credit, affordable classes in music and art for adults, teens, and children. Most Community School of the Arts programs are held at the UConn Depot campus in Storrs, CT. Parking is free and adjacent to the CSA campus. For additional information or to register, contact CSA at 860-486-1073, csa@uconn.edu or visit www.csa.uconn.edu.
