Winter Fun Week 2013

Celebrate the Season Downtown During Winter Fun Week: Friday, February 1 through Sunday, February 10

The Mansfield Downtown Partnership, the Town of Mansfield Parks and Recreation Department, and Storrs Center master developer LeylandAlliance are pleased to announce Winter Fun Week, which will take place Friday, February 1 through Sunday, February 10.  This program highlights a wide range of activities and events taking place in the Mansfield downtown area.  A full schedule of events features everything from arts to sports, from scholarly talks to wintery walks!  There are events for children, adults, families, and students.  Some are free, some require tickets, and all are fun!

Events planned during Winter Fun Week will appeal to all ages and interests.  The week starts on Friday, February 1 with a Martial Arts Open House at Villari’s Martial Arts from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and culminates on Sunday, February 10 with a benefit concert for the Mansfield Community Playground by Take Note! at Storrs Congregational Church at 3:00 pm.  In between, there are art talks, a book launch, musical performances, high school and college sports events, ice skating, and the E. O. Smith High School Drama Club’s spring musical, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
