Shakspeare in Hampton: "Cymbeline"

Hampton:  Shakespeare on the Lawn, July 22, 7 PM. Attendance free,
donations gleefully accepted. Bring blankets or chairs, and a picnic.
Town
Hall/Community Center, 164-178 Main St., indoors at CCenter if rain. Flock
Theatre’s fourth year in Hampton.  Cymbaline:
One of Shakespeare’s late plays, the story concerns Imogen, the daughter of the
British king Cymbeline, who defies her father and marries the lowborn gentleman
Posthumus instead of her oafish stepbrother.
Wars and intrigues ensue. Cymbeline has been called a tragical-comical-historical-pastoral-political
romance with a cross-dressing heroine, a doubting husband, a sly villain, and
long-lost siblings who help to save the day. Flock Theatre's fourth summer
performance in Hampton. Info: Gay Wagner 860-455-9875
