There's more to do than just RUN at the 5K Run for the Playground this Saturday!

There is so much going on at the 5K Run for the Playground this Saturday, June 8th. It's a great way to get out, get active, and support our project. Not a runner? Not a problem! We've got fun activities, a retired Clown Doctor (what?!), a giant bouncy slide, tiles to paint with your hands or FEET, cake. . . You don't want to miss it!

  • 8:30am Check-in starts. You can register online at www.runfortheplayground.myevent.com until June 6th, or register at the race.
  • 9:00am Races for Kids' ages 2-12, and you can make a Footprint (or handprint, if you don't want to get your toes messy) tile to support the playground. Tile making will continue until 12pm.
  • 10:00am 5K starts from the Mansfield Community Center. Also at the MCC, Post-race food, kids' activities and a giant bouncy slide!
  • 10:30-11:15am Join Jeff Smithson in the gym for Foolishness & Fotographs. . . Bring a kid and a camera and see what develops. Jeff Smithson is a retired Clown Doctor, an educator and a Proponent of Play. Have your picture taken by or with Jeff as he engages & entertains kids of all ages. Even the cranky ones.
  • 11:20am Join us to recognize and celebrate the generous support of the Jeffery P. Ossen Family Foundation, and eat cake!
We'll be running, and playing, rain or shine!
