Happy Independence Day! Just a reminder that the library will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in honor Independence Day. We are still open until 8:00 PM on both Tuesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 5, so you still have plenty of time to visit before and after the day off.
Teens and Tweens! Join us on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM as we make Constellation Cookies. Learn about the stars and some of the major constellations, then pick your favorite and make a cookie in its shape.
On Friday, July 6, 2012, we invite all families with children ages 3 and under to join us in the Buchanan Auditorium at 10:30 AM for Toddler Time! This fun playgroup offers a chance for young children (with a parent or caregiver) to interact with other kids their age, play with lots of great toys, sing songs and hear stories.
Later on Friday, at 2:00 PM join Miss Judy in the Buchanan Auditorium for our craft program and Be a Painter! Use finger paints, shaving cream paints, textured brushes, rollers and more to create your own works of art.
It's Family Story Time again on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 10:30 AM! Come in for an all-ages story and craft or activity, then stay to take out books or movies. Enjoy the playground if the weather is nice before or after story time.
For all school-age children our Summer School Computer Lab continues this Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. Children working on online programs such as S.O.A.R., Mansfield Reads, Study Island and more will be given priority access to the computers to give them time to work. The next computer lab session will be on Monday, July 9, 2012 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM, and will be followed by a chapter book read-aloud for anyone interested in staying.
As you can see, we have another great week planned here at the Mansfield Public Library. We look forward to seeing friends, both old and new, all summer long!
