This Week at the Mansfield Public Library: Oct. 9-14, 2012

Events and activities at the Mansfield Public Library for this week.

This week the kids in our area have today off from school, so we have planned an activity to keep them busy for the afternoon! Join Miss Judy today, Tuesday, October 9, from 2:00-3:30 PM for Fall Flora Crafts. Make a 3D fall tree, try some leaf rubbing, make a fall placemat and more! All ages are welcome to this free event.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) Class is back in full swing every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is a drop-in class, so no registration is necessary.

This evening, join the MPL Book Discussion Group as they take a look at One Day by David Nicholls. They will be meeting tonight at 7:00 PM in the Program Room. Their next book will be Singing Her Alive by local author Diana K. Perkins, whose name you may recognize because she was the author featured in our part of the CT Authors Trail in September.

Wednesday, October 10, join us for our Wonderful Wednesday program at 10:30 AM. We'll read some books, sing some songs, and follow that up with a craft to go along with what we've read. All ages are welcome. This program is free, and takes place in the Program Room.

On Friday, October 12, we'll be hosting Toddler Time in the Buchanan Auditorium from 10:30 AM-Noon. This free program is aimed at children from birth to age 36 months to attend with a parent/caregiver. There are lots of toys for babies and toddlers, plenty of stories and activities, and even books you can check out right there while your little ones play.

We'll close out this week with Family Story Time on Saturday, October 13, from 10:30 AM to Noon. Like our program on Wednesdays, this story time features stories, songs and crafts for all ages. This program is also free and takes place in the Program Room.
