Two Dozen UConn Administrators Receive Paycheck Boosts

The employees will be paid an extra $10,000 to $22,500, the Hartford Courant reports.

A number of University of Connecticut administrators saw a significant uptick in their paychecks this August, according to an article in the Hartford Courant.

The Courant reports that 24 Storrs campus administrators recently saw a salary increase between $10,000 and $22,500, a 5 percent jump for some.

"The Sibson Report concludes that UConn's compensation packages are 'generally consistent with the salaries for positions with comparable duties and responsibilities' at peer institutions, notably the other top 50 national research universities in the nation,"UConn spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz said in the Courant. "These universities are our competitors for faculty, staff, students, and research funding."
