Here are five reasons you should get out and about town today.

3. The Mansfield Downtown Partnership, Storrs Center team members from the Town, University of Connecticut, LeylandAlliance and Education Realty Trust (EDR), will update residents on the Storrs Center downtown project at 7 p.m. in Room 7 of the Bishop Center on the campus.

4. You can head on over to the  for their 8:30 a.m.  Class. The session combines a variety of underwater exercises utilizing the deep and shallow ends of the pool. The class runs $59 - $64 for members and $79 - $86 for non-members

5.  will host an "Intergenerational Luau" for the  at 5 p.m. The meal will be prepared by UConn Dietetics students and the cost for the event is $8.
