Happenings Down The Hill: Jamaican Restaurant Now Open In Willimantic

Adding to the ethnic, cultural, and dining diversity of downtown Willimantic is a newly opened restaurant.  Jamaican Me Crazy, located at 776 Main Street in Willimantic, features fresh and delicious Jamaican and other Caribbean flavored foods.  Owner Richard Mitchell opened the doors last weekend (October 12) after many months of preparation, and now Jamaican Me Crazy is going full steam.

Jamaican Me Crazy features lunch and dinner specials including curry chicken and curry goat, as well as fish dinners, soups, and vegetable and other patties.

For more information on the menu or hours, call 860-942-8831, email at Orders@JamaicanMeCrazyLLC.com, or on the web at www.jamaicanmecrazy.com.

One quick sidebar:  Like many local restaurants, televisions are tuned mutely to sports.  At Jamaican Me Crazy, one of the televisions is dedicated to the other football, which is soccer.

This post is written by Peter Leeds, who stopped by Jamaican Me Crazy last Saturday after working at the Columbus Day Soccer Tournament all day and was delighted to eat a vegetable patty and chat with owner Richard and son Matthew (a soccer referee).  Peter is a local Wili-phile and sports enthusiast who can be found on Facebook at Peter Leeds Not Just The Sports Guy.
