Mansfield Man Arrested For Alleged Role In Renwood Apartments Home Invasion

Emmanuel Hilding-Salorio, 23, of Mansfield was arrested Friday for his alleged role in a December 2012 home invasion.

A Mansfield man was arrested on Friday for his alleged role in a failed armed robbery at Renwood Apartments last December.

On Dec. 13, 2012 at around 10:40 p.m., two males with black masks covering their faces and brandishing handguns entered a Renwood Apartments' apartment, where a male resident was inside, according to state police. The two men tried to rob the apartment, but the resident managed to fight them off, forcing the two men to flee on foot to a car and drive away, according to police.

In the course of the struggle, a single bullet was fired into the wall of the apartment. The male resident was struck in the head with a gun, according to police.

Police have already arrested the two men they believe tried to rob the home. On Friday, they arrested a third man - Emmanuel Hilding-Salorio - for allegedly being an accomplice to the attempted robbery.

Hilding-Salorio, 23, of 17 Southwood Dr, Mansfield, was charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit burglary and second-degree conspiracy to commit larceny. He was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond and his first court date is today.
