Police Blotter: Multiple Drug Arrests, DUI, Larceny

The following police reports are accurate as of March 3, 2011 at noon. Items on this list reflect charges filed, and not convictions.

Drug Arrest

Christopher James McGrath, 20, of 26 Lake Ridge Dr., Columbia, was arrested by University of Connecticut Police at 82 North Eagleville Rd. and charged with drug paraphernalia, illegal manufacture, distribution and sale of cannabis/controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and operation of a drug factory.

Drug Arrest

Ricardo J. Fernandez, 28, of 29 Ash St., Willimantic, was arrested by Connecticut State Police on Mansfield Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance/narcotics.

Warrant Arrest

Mitchell Bartlett Amtower, 46, of 6 Lebanon Square, was transported from Corrigan Correctional in Uncasville, to Rockville Superior Court in order to be served with an active arrest warrant, according to police. Amtower was charged with two counts of criminal violation of a protective order, threatening or trespassing.

Drug Arrest

Drew Rioux Darley, 20, of 1100 Hill St., Bristol, was arrested by campus police at 82 North Eagleville Road and charged with drug paraphernalia, illegal manufacture, distribution and sale of cannabis/controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, operation of a drug factory and possession of narcotics.

3/1/11

DUI Arrest

Alexander James Froning, 21, of 119 Mountain Spring Road, Tolland, was arrested by state police on North Eagleville Road and charged with traveling unreasonably fast for conditions and operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Larceny Arrest

Chelsea Nicole Zara, 19, of 55 Whippoorwill Ln., Sparta, NJ, was arrested by campus police at 2075 Hillside Road and charged with sixth-degree larceny.
