Police Charge Sixth Person in Derek Road Home Invasion in Mansfield

Connecticut State Police have arrested a juvenile in relation to the Sept. 4 home invasion at 14 Derek Rd. in Mansfield.

Connecticut State Police made a sixth arrest Tuesday in connection with a home invasion at 14 Derek Rd. in Mansfield.

A total of six men have now been arrested in connection with the Sept. 4 incident, where two victims were confronted by five masked men and tied up during a robbery, according to police. A handgun was used in the robbery, police said.

A 17-year-old male juvenile has been charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion/armed robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree kidnapping, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, according to a police report.

The juvenile was held in lieu of a $750,000 court set bond. He was transported to Hartford Juvenile Detention in Hartford.

in connection with the case. They are as follows:

  • Peter Alba, 34, of 171 South Windham Rd., Windham, is charged with home invasion/armed robbery, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.

Alba was held in lieu of a $1,000,000 court set bond. He is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court today, Oct. 1.

  • Eric Racine, 35, of 28 Hanks Hill Rd., Mansfield, is charged with home invasion/armed robbery, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and criminal use of a firearm, according to an arrest report.

Racine was held in lieu of a $1,250,000 court set bond. He is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court today, Oct. 1.

  • Javier Crespo, 23, of 466 Ash St., Willimantic, is charged with home invasion/armed robbery, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.

Crespo was held in lieu of a $1,250,000 court set bond. He is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court today, Oct. 1.

  • Antony Santiago-Figueroa, 25, of 63 Impala Dr., Willimantic, is charged with home invasion/armed robbery, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.

Santiago was held in lieu of a $750,000 court set bond. He is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court today, Oct. 1.

On Sept. 12 Anibal Carrero, of 281 Coventry Rd., was taken into custody by state police, following a brief chase that forced two Mansfield schools to go on lockdown. Carrero, 40, is charged with home invasion/armed robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree robbery, first-degree kidnapping and second-degree false statement, according to an arrest report.

Richard Cournoyer of the Mansfield Resident State Trooper's Office said Monday the incident appears to be isolated and residents should not fear for their safety.

Police said no additional arrests are anticipated at this time.
