Police: Suspected Storrs Serial Burglar Arrested

The suspect is also facing charges stemming from a January burglary.

A 43-year-old was arrested Tuesday following a burglary on Mansfield Hollow Road, Mansfield Resident State Troopers said.

, of 115 Gurleyville Rd. was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and sixth-degree larceny.

said Gardiner forced her way into an apartment at 111 Mansfield Hollow Rd. Tuesday afternoon and proceeded to steal numerous items from within the residence, including prescription medications.

Following a thorough investigation, police were able to locate Gardiner and recover the stolen property taken from the apartment with the exception of the medications, Woodward said.

Police said Gardiner later confessed to nine previous burglaries that were committed in Mansfield ranging from mid-November 2011 to earlier this month.

Gardiner was arraigned in Rockville Superior Court Wednesday. Bond was set at $5,000. She is scheduled to next appear in Rockville Superior Court on April 25 to face .
