One-car Accident in Mansfield Sends Driver to Hospital

The accident occurred on Route 195 near Spring Hill Road Monday.

A one-car accident on Route 195 sent the driver to the hospital Monday afternoon, Mansfield officials said.

Police received a call at 12:39 p.m. Monday for an overturned vehicle near Spring Hill Road. After arriving on the scene, officials determined that the vehicle had come to rest on its side, Mansfield Fire Chief David Dagon said.

According to Dagon, the driver of a silver four-door sedan was traveling on Rt. 195 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a “stone structure” on the side of the road.

The driver was treated at the scene by Mansfield’s Emergency Services and later transported to Windham Hospital for further evaluation, Dagon said.

The driver’s injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to Dagon.

The name of the driver has not been released and the accident is currently under investigation, Dagon said.
