Tolland

Sept. 23

Mathew George, 42, 16 Drake Lane, Ledgewood, N.J., was charged with speeding in a truck over 70mph and operating under the influence following a police stop on I-84 southbound in Tolland on Sept. 23. George was held on a $500 cash bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 7.

Ellington

Sept. 24

Brayan Jose Sanchez-Agudelo, 18, 55 White St., Hartford, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident on Westland Road in Ellington on Sept. 24. Sanchez-Agudelo was held on a $1,000 surety bond and was due in Rockville Superior Court on Sept. 25.

Mansfield

Sept. 25

Spencer L. Hamlin, 22, 61 Chaffeeville Road, Mansfield, was charged with speeding, operating under the influence and a failure to drive in the proper lane after police pulled him over on Route 275 in Mansfield on Sept. 25. Hamlin was held on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 1.

Windham

Sept. 25

Jeffrey Shaner, 47, 206 Oxbow Drive, Willimantic, was arrested on a charge of promoting a minor in an obscene performance, importing child porn and first-degree possession of child porn. 

The charges stem from an investigation that began on May 6 after police investigated a report of him using Peer-2-Peer software to download and save images and videos of child pornography. Police executed a search and seizure warrant and discovered 14 folders containing gigabytes of child porn.

Shaner was taken into custody on a $100,000 bond and is due in Killingly Superior Court on Oct. 8.
