Troop C Weekend Blotter - Nov. 21-24

The latest list of arrests from Mansfield and the surrounding towns.

Mansfield

Nov. 22

At 10:06 p.m., Julio Angel Rodriguez 32, of Willimantic, was stopped just north of Chaffeville Road on Route 195 in Mansfield, for a marker plate violation, state police said. 

Rodriguez also was unlicensed and was in violation of a protective order because of a passenger, state police said.



At 4:16 p.m., state police charged Robert Acevedo, 30, with narcotics possession and possession with intent to sell after a traffic stop on Rt. 195, state police said.

A search of the vehicle after the stop revealed packaged cocaine, state police said.

Jaclyn Nann, 19, of Colchester, was charged with DUI after failing a series of field sobriety tests during a traffic stop, state police said.

She was pulled over at 3:05 a.m. on Birch Road, state police said.

Vernon 


Nov. 24

Leonard Kibe, 40, or Worcester, MA, was charged with DUI, failure to drive in the proper lane and driving with a foreign license plate, state police said.

He was arrested at 1:26 a.m. after Troop C received several 911 calls reporting someone driving erratically while traveling westbound in I-84 near exit 65, state police said.

Kibe was observed by troopers "driving all over the highway," state police said. After being stopped near exit 65, he failed a series of field sobriety tests, state police said.

Somers 

Nov. 22

Jerrold Paradis, 38, of 132 Sherman Rd., Enfield was stopped in town for a suspected DUI, state police said. 

He failed a series of field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and traveling at an unreasonable speed, state police said.

Ellington

Nov. 23

John Bouchard, 46, of 121 Mountain St., Ellington, was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct after a father-and-son fight, state police said.

He allegedly threatened his son, a juvenile, with bodily harm, state police said.

At 12:05 a.m. on Saturday, Christopher Allen, 39, of 60 Pinney St., Ellington, was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane, state police said.

He was arrested after troopers responded to a reported one-vehicle collision on Kibbe Road, state police said.

He was determined to be intoxicated, state police said.

Nov. 24 

At 2:19 a.m. Brett Hill, 26, of Marlborough, was charged with registration and tail light violations, DUI and carrying a firearm while under the influence, state police said.

He was stopped on Rt. 83, state police said. He failed a series of field sobriety tests, state police said.

Somers 

Nov. 23

Stephen Coope, 57, of 20 Goodwin Dr., Somers, was charged with failure to carry registration, tracing unreasonably fast, DUI and failure to obey a signal at 11:45 p.m., state police said.

He was stopped on Goodwin Road, state police said.



At 1:59 a.m. on Main Street, Mathieu Tyler, 23, was charged with a headlight violation and DUI, state police said. He lives at 235 Mountain Spring Rd. in Tolland, state police said.

He was observed leaving a local establishment with no illuminated headlights and driving down the road, state police said. He failed a series of field sobriety tests after being stopped, state police said.
