Warrant arrest
After a lengthy investigation, Aaron Matthew Morales, 29, of 12 Sharaf St., Apt. 5, New London, was arrested and charged on Nov. 8 with two counts of second-degree harassment and one count of violating the terms of the state sex offender registry, according to University of Connecticut police.
Morales is accused of sending several harassing and inappropriate emails to a member of the UConn community on June 26, 2012, according to police. When police determined that Morales was the sender of the messages, officers also discovered that he was a sex offender who is required to register on the state Sex Offender Registry. Police allege that Morales's conduct in June 2012 violated the terms of his registry requirements.
Morales was convicted in 2002 of statutory sexual seduction in the state of Nevada. He is scheduled to appear in superior court on the current charges on Nov. 20.
