The Mansfield Town Council held a ceremonial presentation Monday night to recognize the national accreditation of of Mansfield.
Prior to the council's regular meeting, Mayor Elizabeth Paterson presented current Trust President Allison Burchell-Robinson with a certificate of appreciation in the council chambers of the Audrey P. Beck Municipal Building.
The accreditation – one of four granted in Connecticut – signified that Joshua’s Trust met “national standards of excellence” in land conservation and preservation.
“Keep up the good work,” said Paterson. “We all benefit from it.”
Joshua’s Trust is currently looking for new volunteers and is offering its 310 page to those who become members. Members receive an annual newsletter and are invited to attend the annual dinner for a membership fee of $10 for singles and $20 for families.
