Mansfield Budget Fails at Referendum

Mansfield residents voted Tuesday to reject the Town Council’s proposed budget for the Town.

A total of 866 electors and 7 property owners voted, according to the Town of Mansfield.

The results of the June 18 Budget Referendum are as follows, according to numbers released Wednesday morning by the Town:

Are you in favor of the budget as adopted on May 14, 2013?    

408 Yes    453 No

If the budget is defeated, is the town budget portion too high or too low? 

515 Too High   255 Too Low

If the budget is defeated, is the school budget portion too high or too Low?  

427 Too High   345 Too Low
