Mansfield: Hurricane Irene Recovery Update

One percent of Mansfield residents remain without power, Town officials said Monday.

Connecticut Light & Power has assured residents throughout the state that the company would work tirelessly to restore service to all customers affected by Hurricane Irene.

As of noon Monday, nearly 100 percent of Mansfield residents had power restored, Town officials said in a news release. Those who remain without power are encouraged to contact CL&P at 800-286-2000 to report the outage.

Due to the success of power restoration efforts, has canceled its  scheduled Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Free ice and meal services at the will also be discontinued after 10 p.m. Monday.

The Community Center will during regular operating hours: Monday – Saturday: 5:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Sunday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
