Snapshots: New Kiosk at Mansfield Hollow State Park

Due in large part to donations from the Friends of Mansfield Hollow, the state park was able to construct a new kiosk.

"Here is the proof that our [] kiosk, which blew over in the winter's storms, is now up and welcoming!," said Betty Robinson, president of the Friends of Mansfield Hollow (FMH) in an e-mail to Patch.

The kiosk includes a map of the park that the FMH donated.

According to the group's Web site, the FMH's mission is to:

  • help preserve, maintain and enhance Mansfield Hollow State Park for the benefit of the general public;
  • solicit and raise funds for these purposes;
  • educate the public about the resources, values, and needs of the park and the surrounding impoundment; and
  • be a source of information and communication among groups using the park.
