Time to Renew Dog Licenses

Mansfield dog owners need to renew their pets' licenses this month.

June is dog licensing month throughout Connecticut. Mansfield residents must obtain or renew dog licenses for pups six months and up by mail or by visiting the Mansfield Town Clerk's Office during through June 30.

To obtain a new license, residents must present certificates from a veterinarian indicating if their pets have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated against rabies.

The licensing fee for dogs that have been spayed or neutered is $8 and $19 for an unneutered or unspayed dog. A late fee of $1 per month, per dog is assessed if they are not registered by the end of the month. In Mansfield, a 10-tag kennel costs $51 and a 20-tag kennel is $140.
