Water Back On at E.O. Smith

Water Main Break on Bolton Road Repaired

The water main on Bolton Road has been repaired and the water has been turned back on in all areas of Edwin O. Smith High School affected by Wednesday's water main break.

Christine Kloter, an administrator at the high school, said that classes and school activities, including tonight's band concert would continue as scheduled. "There was a water main break and they fixed it by 8 p.m. last night, and they flushed the pipes, and I think we're up and running," she said. "I don't know anything about a cancellation."

An e-mail message from E.O. Smith's Building and Grounds Director Ralph Pemberton, confirmed that the repairs had been made. "We flushed the water mains at the school last night but you still may notice a little discolor in the water until it gets completely flushed," Pemberton said. "If you let the water run for a little while it should clear up."
